
INSTALLATION GUIDE
You will need the following tools to install the rail onto a masonry wall
6mm and 8mm masonry drill bit, drill, spirit level, tape measure, pencil, TORX t30
Driver, 2mm allen key
You will need the following tools to install the rail onto a plasterboard wooden stud wall
Drill, spirit level, tape measure, pencil, TORX t30 driver, stud finder, allen key
Warning: Before installing check for electrical cables, gas or water pipes in the vicinity of the position of the proposed location of the rail before drilling or screwing the rail to the wall.
INSTALLATION ONTO A MASONRY WALL
Place the rail onto the wall at the desired height, with the pencil, mark 1 hole only. Drill an 8mm hole where you have made the pencil mark. Install a wall plug, screw the rail to the wall using the TORX t30 driver, use the spirit level to make sure the rail is level. Fully tighten the screw. Using a 6mm masonry drill bit, drill the remaining holes through the holes in the rail. Take the rail down from the wall and redrill the holes using the 8mm masonry drill bit. Install wall plugs, Screw the rail to the wall using the TORX t30 driver.
INSTALLATION ONTO A PLASTERBOARD WOODEN STUD WALL
Using the stud finder mark the position of the wooden studs, the studs should be at 16-inch centres (406mm). Place the rail onto the wall at the desired height, screw the rail into position using the TORX t30 driver, use 1 screw only, use the spirit level to make sure the rail is level. Fully tighten the screw. Install the remaining screws into position using the TORX t30 driver.
Please note on the wall side of the rail there are grooves for the purpose of using an adhesive in conjunction with fixing the screws.
You are now ready to place the brackets onto the rail. If you have decided on the position of the bracket simply tighten the grub screw with the 2mm allen key.
